The ghettoforce story so far...
Ghettoforce from Bristol, England began playing in 1996, on a radio station called Dance FM. The radio show was voted No.1 in our town which helped Ghettoforce secure club bookings every Saturday and most Fridays for the next 3-4 years in the UK, and even more as time went by.
Playing up and down the country was easy, the fan-base grew and soon Ghettoforce felt it needed more and started to look to Europe. We first entered the International stage in 2001 with a short trip to Jamaica, playing alongside Bass Odyssey and Travellers. From 2001 to date, Ghettoforce has played in Germany, UK, Jamaica, France, USA and more!
In 2008 Ghettoforce played a 4-month tour in Gambia with the Gambian super star OneTribe Sound. This was one of our best (if not the best) experiences we have had on our travels, with dances every day of the week plus live radio slots on Gambia's biggest radio station West Coast Radio.
Every event we played was a full house and the best part is the people loved the music so we could dig deep in the box and play real hardcore Dancehall Reggae.
Ghettoforce has played alongside all of the greatest sound systems around the world, such as StoneLove, Sentinel, Black Cat, WillPowa, Bass Odyssey, Jaro, OneTribe, Powpow, Rodigan, SuperSonic, Immortal, Vybz Machine and many more. As a supporting act, we have played for many artists like Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, Sean Paul, Mr Vegas, Sanchez, Dawn Penn, Dennis Brown, Million Styles, Buju Banton and the list goes on. We have also played at the biggest, most prestigious festivals in Europe, including Summer Jam, Reggae Jam, U-Club Street Party, R.U.H.R Reggae Summer, More Fire Festival, Luton Carnival and St Paul's Festival - all massive venues with thousands of fans enjoying dancehall reggae.
